Gong Cafe in Chalong

Brand new cafe 🍹 in Chalong Area, Gong cafe! There are much spaces for each tables, you can relax and enjoy chatting with tasty foods. Though smoothie with using fresh fruits looked also attractive, we selected "Late" for our first visit to this cafe.

It was good but we forgot to order for "non-sugar". Some cafes provides coffee with non-sugar, but basically we have to check it when you order in Phuket.

The cost range is.....Thai foods are about 100 THB and international foods are about 200 THB. 2 hungry monsters decided to order Chef's recommend.

Spaghetti Kee mao (Thai style) and Fried noodle with chicken. My Sweety late saved me from this super hot  spaghetti. 

We don't need a sugar on coffee but need it as another option. Pancake with strawberry cheese🍓.

You will find many Korean barbeque restaurant in Phuket but maybe only one shop with Japanese style.

No spicy tastes basically so easy to eat for kids also! (Of course spicy lover can add some hot pepper and garlic as much as you want)

Our recommendation is Stone scorch Bibimbap! (Spicy)  Staff will mix it for you. Crisp bits of burnt rice is absolutely amazing😆 Try it!

There are some sweets in menu and we selected shaved ice with red beans 🍧 It's only 40THB but bigger than we expected! The restaurant is just on the road which have Sunday market (Lard yai), so please note that there is no parking space when you go there on Sunday.

Photogenic Japanese Dharma doll is illustrated on the wall though it is bathroom 😁

Friday! Another week have passed again. I enjoyed coffee time at Starbucks before kids will come back from school.  Tried some Christmas tastes. The Christmas concept for this year in Thailand is "Crafted by Hand and Heart".

Starbucks in Chalong has just opened this summer at Villa Market. We often enjoy this place to have some relaxing time with reading books, studying and working. My favorite cake is Green tea with red beans, though this is not a Christmas tastes.

Wifi is available free but need a registration. You will have temporary username and password until 24 hours once complete registration.

Christmas drinks which we tried today is as below.

RED RIBBON GREEN TEA LATTE
We’ve combined Velvety green tea with a splash of sweet from tangy pomegranate juice. It is topped with milk foam and ruby red pomegranate drizzle for a refreshing and cheerful experience. This beverage can served hot or iced.

PEPPERMINT MOCHA
A chocolaty coffee beverage highlighted with peppermint notes. Topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle, & red and white candy bits, which brings up memories of candy canes and Christmas festivities.

Food court at local super market in Chalong Area

It's always fun to have a look‐in local super market. Tesco Lotus is a hypermarket chain in Thailand, and Chalong branch is in very convenient location to visit during your sightseeing trip in Phuket. To know local foods easily and reasonably, food court is ideal place and has many choices for family with small kids.

You need to top up your money as much as you want (100THB is enough per person as budget) to food court card, and use the card to pay at each shop. Get this card at reception in front of food court and balance will be refunded when you return this card to same desk. 

Our favorite shop is the one at the right end. You will find most of popular Thai foods include Tom Yum,  Basil Fried Chicken, Thai Fried rice and Stir-Fried Crispy Catfish with Spicy Red Curry Paste...

This is just one of options if you are boring with touristy restaurant and want to experience local circumstance instead.

This day, we simply had a fried rice with seafood. Fish sauce and other spices in front of each shops will be a good accent.

Local restaurant with reasonable price for all Thai foods. About 2 minutes walk away from Chalong intersection and just next to Police station. Includes basic Fried rice, no complaint at all about the tastes. We saw many customers not only Thai people but foreign people also enjoy foods. Below is the menu we had this day. Additionally, we ordered Thai black tea. It much relieved painful of our tongue by hot peppers......
